Finding the Funny in Everything
Amateur stand-up comedian exploring humor in parenting, work life, philosophy, and the absurdity of being a human trying to figure things out.
The Stage
DC Improv
Performed at Washington D.C.'s premier comedy club, sharing the stage with both local talent and touring comedians.
West Side Comedy Club
Took the stage at this NYC venue, honing material about suburban dad life, tech industry absurdities, and philosophical musings.
Why Comedy?
There's something about standing in front of strangers and trying to make them laugh that strips everything else away. No PowerPoint slides. No project status updates. Just you, a microphone, and the terrifying hope that they'll find it funny too.
My material draws from the same wells as my other work: a philosophy degree that taught me to question everything (including why I thought stand-up was a good idea), the joys and chaos of raising two kids, and years of navigating corporate life while secretly wondering if anyone else notices how weird it all is.
Comedy, like good writing, is about finding the unexpected truth and saying it in a way that makes people see things differently. Sometimes that means making people laugh at a NASA project meeting. Sometimes it means making myself laugh while changing a diaper at 3 AM.
Want to See a Set?
I occasionally perform at open mics and comedy nights around the DC area. Reach out if you want to know about upcoming shows.
